Finally , I submitted my ISB application. It has been a tough and thoroughly enjoyable three and half months. As a senior said , the application process has been a sort of self discovery , if i can call it that. I never knew that I can write something and refine it so much that I my self cant believe the first and the last versions were written by the same person. I feel the essays have come out well , especially the 4th one which I sort of finished in 2hours and hadnt edited it much since then. I am worried a little about the 2nd one , though it is kind of close to my heart and the best that I did in my 3 year career , people are skeptical whether it is challenging enough. But as an alumn in the ISB meet said "If you believe it , you write it" . People advised me to bring in stuff that is more appealing to bschools, some sort of interpersonal conflicts etc .... But I couldnt find any. So I wrote what i felt was the toughest i had to do , creating an interest in people to learn a new technology. First one was a bit intimidating to look at but once i started penning my thoughts it came out smoothly. The third point in the first essay about collaborative team skill / leadership is something that I hope would differentiate me. Third essay again was good but i feel i could have improved it a bit. The three hundred word limit is kind of crazy. By the time you think you are about to say something you are done with it. I wanted to write so much more in the third essay but couldnt , may be ill get selected for the interview and i get a chance to explain the same.
So the interview . I think I need to give a serious thought to it. May be I can start by preparing answers to some of the standard questions.
For now just pray for the best .....
